SignalML was implemented in the first open source and multiplatform application for viewing, annotating and analyzing multichannel biomedical time series — Svarog (which is a loose acronym based on Signal Viewer and Recorder on GPL). The ultimate goal of this project is to provide an open environment for:

  • viewing and annotating multivariate biomedical time series in any reasonable format, for which SignaML description will be available,
  • attaching advanced signal processing methods to a simple point-and-click interface,
  • constructing complete high-quality EEG recording systems, using e.g. hardware interfaces developped in the Open BCI project.
